More than 100,000 Americans each year die of heart attacks, strokes and other illnesses caused by air pollution spewed from factories, motor vehicles and even bucolic-seeming farmland, according to a new report that contradicts an EPA panel whose members downplayed the risks during a public meeting last month.

78 Environmental Rules on
the Way Out Under Trump

Since his first days in office, President Trump has made eliminating federal regulations a priority. His administration, with help from Republicans in Congress, has targeted environmental rules it sees as overly burdensome to the fossil fuel industry, including major Obama-era policies aimed at fighting climate change.

republicans don't want clean air, or a clean indian river lagoon.

they need a wall.

a wall is all that matters.

If true, which I doubt, they would have been exposed to those pollutants during the Obama years. You don't just breathe in a whiff of pollutant and get a heart attack. The damage takes place over time. Thus direct your impotent rage toward Obama. Remember your favorite saying on the economy? Thanks Obama? Well, here you go. As far as undoing regulations, all I can say is that he hasn't done enough and needs to keep going. If suspending the rule that having a mud puddle on your property makes it a wetland for federal purposes gives people heart attacks, so be it.

Come tpapsmear, your failure to understand a long term connection says more about you than the fact that it's happening.

I do understand that we have one of the best environmental records of any country in the world, we have clean air and water, and that the EPA under Obama was hurting our economy for no tangible environmental gain. I also know that progs are liars. And it is a lie that Trump is doing anything to degrade our environment. How do you progs like to put it? Ah yes, he is taking "common sense" (ironically, progs have less common sense than any other humans in existence) steps regarding stupid environmental restrictions. But you guys seemingly know how to use the internet. Post on here all instances where the environment has deteriorated due to anything that Trump has done. Prove me wrong.

No they won't. I don't curse earlier generations who polluted far, far more than we do. Seriously, what kind of nut would do that?
The numbers tell a different story. Perhaps that's why we use data instead of comparisons.
Well, I invited you to post data. Show us the data.

I am amused by some far right types that are up in arms about the algae blooms in Florida waters but that turn around and cheer for further weakening of EPA oversight of "Waters of the United States". That weakening basically gives the Phosphate mines a green light to do whatever the hell they want, downstream folks be damned. The right wing sportsman here want MOSAIC STOPPED but they vote to gut EPA, DEP, etc... They want LESS REGULATION but they are pissed off that "The State" won't stop construction of a road or development that happens to go through a patch of countryside that they like.

I am amused that progs are screaming like little school girls about things getting worse under Trump but cannot provide any proof. I can be persuaded on this if there is evidence. But I haven't come across any. If something or other was only, 4 ppm under Obama and is now 5 ppm, that should be easy to find. So, let's have it, girls.

What is Trump doing to decrease this risk? That's the point.

Here is a real world example.

And then there are Mercury emissions.

Fortunately, Trump has little to no understanding of the law, so a great deal of his destructive agenda has been held in check by the courts, but for how long.

If they are allowed to breathe they have a chance, seems you prefer murder and mayhem in the womb or out as it may be

In that case, keep your environmental laws to yourself and stop sticking them to the rest of us. If it isn't obvious, most of us are fed up with that kind of crap.

The environment is not yours to destroy, you're subject to the will of the people who value the environment.

But I'll compromise. How about I'm not going to make either you or cheater have an abortion.

Deep breaths, fishy. America's population is aging and its not even replacing itself. We need the imported people to pay social security and our other taxes because the aging population will soon outnumber the working population. You geniuses can stare at a 30 Billion wall and wonder if you will live long enough to outlive your money or the environmental consequences you lied to yourselves about. Immigrants are part of the solution. Asylum is the law. Your fearmongering is the problem.
