This sounds vaguely familiar. Remember when trump said the last election was rigged and he wouldn't accept the results unless he won. Then he won without winning the popular vote and he formed a commission based upon his debunked assertion that the margin of victory was the margin of fraud. They went nowhere too and now, like then, he expects to lose and he is trying to formulate a narrative that would justify his refusal to acknowledge such a loss.
