By George (Will), I think he's onto something. Lyin fish aren't readers and even worse at comprehension, so don't be surprised if the mere sight of a conservative mainstay like George Will reading the writing on the wall produces an immediate and incoherent response. Attacking George Will is better than addressing what he says. Lyin fish are creatures of habit.

I just took the time to read this little snippet you linked and it has no teeth. Zero. Just George Will's opinion with nothing new to back it up.

It's based upon a failure to recognize the writing on the wall. The writing on the wall is itself an analogy. http://idioms.thefreedictionar...he+writing+on+the+wall

It's not a question of whether you accept where we are or where we are going as a fact, it's a question of whether you are able to see that the signs point to a bad end. I believe that the GOP has thrown their lot in with a charlatan and now that he's being very publicly exposed, they can either defend him and remain complicit in his shit show or they can abandon him and pretend that they value all the things that trump has shit on. They may both go down together but at least trump is going down. Once they see his doom as imminent, they will take their chorus of castrata and sing the new song in the hopes that their new faith excuses their old faith.

I get it. You are throwing around a lot of powerful words but you don't have much to back them up. Meanwhile, the Democrats are flailing. They don't have a leader. They don't have a frontrunner. They don't have a consistent message.

You think Trump is going to be impeached for asking for Ukraine's help investigating Biden when there was no quid pro quo? Ukraine got the aid. As far as we know Trump hasn't received any results from Ukraine investigating the Bidens. What happens if it is uncovered that there was something worth investigating with the Bidens? Pretty interesting that Hunter Biden was being paid millions by Ukrainian companies when he had zero experience in oil and gas or in doing business in Ukraine. Also, pretty interesting that Biden demanded that the man who was spearheading the investigation into the company that Hunter Biden was sitting on the board of be fired or sacrifice millions in loan guarantees. Ukraine has reopened this investigation.

Say all you want about the end being near but the economy is in good shape and I don't think that all these nothingburgers amount to shit.

Trump will never willingly go and Republicans in the Senate will never agree with the impeachment, but this crap has dragged the Republican party into the gutter and it's only getting worse. Will Republicans go down with the ship? It's looking like it.

As far as candidates? They don't matter, any non POS will take Trump to the cleaners in the upcoming election.

Back to Trump not wanting to leave; if he loses the election, he become a trespasser in the White House on January 21, 2021 and can be forcefully removed.

I can't wait for the house to vote on an actual impeachment. Any of you guys care to fill us in on what Trump is being impeached for?

Asking for help in an election from a foreign country; China publicly, Ukraine over the phone and through his lawyer. There are seven or eight other cases of obstruction in the Mueller report too..

There is also the current case of obstruction by the White House. The House has the Constitutional duty of oversight, this is being stonewalled by the Trump White House.

The house hasn't voted on impeachment yet, so pretty much everyone who has spoken to congress thus far has done so voluntarily. If the house votes on impeachment, then they will get what they want but they don't want to have to stick their neck out there yet. They want to make it look like we already have an impeachment in progress to confuse the Coles of the world.

We are still trying to figure out exactly what happened in the 2016 election and Biden hasn't won the DNC nomination. I don't think he will.

Asking a foreign government for assistance in an investigation is nothing new. Do you think the 3 Democrat senators who sent the letter to Ukraine, demanding that Ukraine cooperate with the investigation into Trump be fired?

There is no quid pro quo with Trump. Unless Biden was overstating his role in the Ukrainian prosecutor being fired, then it sounds like there was quid pro quo there. Unless he was just boasting and bragging then he and his son have something to worry about.

Quid pro quo isn't required, just asking is a crime in itself.

The Democrats were not looking for help against a direct political opponent and none of them have asked anything from China.

FK, like your dumb-ass opinion matters. lol

Go suck an egg.

The law exists, I didn't write it. If you want to know about it, look it up, I did.

Just asking is against the law, nothing else is required. Though it is looking more and more like this was being done tit for tat. If Trump knows it's legal, why risk another obstruction charge to hide it?

There is our proof that you don't know why you are trying to impeach Trump.

Cole, you are a perfect example of someone who is uber over-opinionated and uber under-informed. You are exactly the demographic that the Democrats are going for.

I just gave you nine or ten reasons and we still don't have all the info, so there is a better than not chance there will be more.

How is it a crime? Campaign finance law? Biden hasn't won the nomination. Are you saying that Trump is never allowed to investigate the Bidens or is he just not allowed to until after the 2020 election? Countries work together on investigations every day. Also, breaking a campaign finance law is punishable by a nominal fine. Obama broke a few and had to pay a couple fines.

I think he'll be impeached by the House, but McConnell will take cover by saying that the election is too close for a trial and that "the people" must decide.

Since I think trump support has peaked at a hard ceiling around 38%, there's an excellent chance he'll lose to Liz Warren who will bring a populist message of support for consumers, women, organized labor, and students.

There is evidence that trump withheld the release of funds in exchange for the investigation - this is the basis of the whistleblowers' complaints. On top of that, soliciting foreign assistance to interfere with an election is illegal. The WH issued an incomplete transcript of the call. If there is nothing to hide, why not be transparent? This is pretty black/white, yet dotards keep dotarding.

Why don't you buffoons wear your trump gear out in public? I know why - because you don't want the world to know you are fucking stupid...

HAHAHA! NOTHING!

Because he knew he was caught

If the PGIC is sooo innocent, why does he keep hiding the requested information that would exonerate him?

Why does he continually obstruct justice?

Why does he continually attack the Bidens? (hint: deflection of his own guiltiness)

Why did he order Ambassador Sondland to defy a subpoena (via Barr and the Justice Dept) to testify in front of Congress? (obstruction of a coequal branch of government.)

C'mon, Snipe, you gotta do better than that...

Yeah Trump and Truly Giuli released the money when they found out the dems we're coming after them.

A little too little to do the right thing now!

What did Trump get in return?
That's the thing...
He shouldn't get anything in return personally.
He should have US interests in mind, not himself.

Trump ran a mafia operation using his personal attorney outside of legitimate state department channels to withhold critical assistance to Ukraine which was approved by Congress in order to leverage them to harm his political rival. That's an abuse of power all day long. Now by refusing to cooperate with the Constitutionally mandated oversight of Congress, he's obstructing justice.

When the ambassador objected she was removed. Various trump capos like the envoy to the EU (big trump donor placed in a patronage job) was in on it, and probably a host of other trump loyalists.

LOL, this is TOO good. So, Trump is running a "mafia operation" even though Ukraine got the assistance and Trump received nothing in return? Meanwhile, Biden did get something in return for the funds he held over Ukraine's head, while his son was running around with Whitey Bulger's family as a business partner and ALL you MF'ers are going to vote for him. Replace Hunter Biden with ANY of Trump's kids and you people would be having a shit-fit.

IF you are loyal or stupid enough to think that trump cared about Ukraine's corruption, he would have used the state department and done it all in the sunlight. He didn't because there was nothing there. He used his personal lawyer and got a bunch of conspiracy theories that only got less attractive as the the two people helping him just got arrested with one way tickets out of the country. This was, of course, fresh off a lunch with Rudy at trump tower. Spin that.

I don't really see a problem with Trump paying his personal attorney to investigate something. I also don't think he owed it to the country to tell them how he was looking into all the details of what happened in the 2020 election. Remember when all you guys laughed at Trump when he said his campaign was being spied on? He might be setting you up to look stupid again.

Here is a question that is very much on the subject, Cole. Please tell me which crime you would like to see Trump impeached for? Campaign finance law? Obstructing justice on a matter where no crime was found?

Here's the deal. The Democrats know that if you look hard enough, you can probably find something illegal that ALL of us have done, so they are banking on the odds that if they can keep the investigations going that eventually they will find something. They don't care if it has anything to do with how the investigation began. Trump should obstruct. Why should he help them? Why should he help them live out their Stalinist policies laid out by Stalin's Head of Secret Police, Lavrentiy Beria, when he said, "Show me the man, and I'll show you the crime."? Stalin would be very proud of you guys.

They were 7 months late in releasing the funds to Ukraine. Timing on this phone call and everything else show that Trump was pushing for info on Biden in exchange for the support. Funds were released right about the time this whistle blower thing started happening. Go figure.

Sniper must have been to Egypt recently since he knows so much about denial.

The jig is up. R's can refuse to honor the Constitution, but then it's up to the american people if they want to continue this so called experiment in democracy. If they choose to have a corrupt dictator then so be it.
And, should there be an economic downturn, I think the emperor's clothes will look much less new.

Are any of you Stalinists going to say which crime you plan on impeaching Trump for?

I don't think Pelosi wants to impeach because she knows it won't stick. Otherwise, she would take it to a vote in the house and go for it. She wants to make it look like impeachment and she wants the media to talk about it non stop but she knows they don't have the goods.

There will be many articles of impeachment when it gets to it.

1. CAMPAIGN FINANCE VIOLATION
2. BRIBERY
3. HONEST SERVICES FRAUD
4. EXTORTION
5. WITNESS INTIMIDATION
6. OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE (VARIOUS ACCOUNTS)
7. CONSPIRACY
8. PROFITING FROM THE PRESIDENCY
9. ADVOCATING POLITICAL AND POLICE VIOLENCE
10. ABUSE OF POWER
11. ENGAGING IN RECKLESS CONDUCT
12. PERSECUTING POLITICAL OPPONENTS
13. ATTACKING FREE PRESS
14. VIOLATING IMMIGRANTS' RIGHTS TO DUE PROCESS
15. ATTEMPTED BLACKMAIL

This list is just the things I can think of. Who knows what legal professionals could pin on him.

I'm no fan of Pelosi, but I suspect she'll move forward with subpoenas and conduct the investigation as empowered by the Constitution, which does not require a formal vote to begin, just to execute the impeachment.

Read it yourself.

Trump needs more of this to happen. This is why he will win in 2020.

Democrats are attaching themselves to several issues that will be deal-breakers for the majority of the country. In the past, Democrats were skilled at hiding their true intentions but the new guard and the squad happily throw it out there for everyone to see. AOC has endorsed abolishing ICE. How does that differ from open borders?

Anything to avoid talking about trump and his released notes. How about his double down with the China request. Or how about how he thought he wasn't selling out the Kurds and said he ruin turkey's economy if they invaded Syria and then they did and trump made up lies that they didn't fight for us in WWII? But open borders is going to get you past that? You are like a bad magician that seeks to distract you with one hand while the other deals a card from the bottom of the deck.

I think HAP provided you with a nice long list in all caps, so you can sit down, and let the thread get back on topic: Which Republicans will suddenly grow a spine now that Trump's faux gold-plated ship of lies is sinking faster than Lyin Fish gone overboard

Pretty sure Hap made up 90% of those and the rest didn't apply. Attacking the free press? Lol I'm done engaging with that one.
