I was at the beach but unable to surf.  So I decide to check out the guys lucky enough to be in the water.  I watched this guy pass up wave after wave.  One actually broke on him.  Never once going for it.

I turned to my son after 10 minutes and said "Channel Marker".  Is there a surfing term for this dude?

I was that guy last May after trying to surf to early after spinal fusion surgery.  After paddling out realizing this was a really bad idea I waited and paddled back in.  Gave it more time to heal and I'm now back at it as good as I was.

Buoy Boy..... love having one in the lineup, you know right where to paddle back out to, and, sit next to without worry of a take off from them.

Name calling in surfing is standard, love it or hate it,,,,, a kook is a kook,,, a ripper... a grom...

You get the point.... no harm unless youre super sensitive...

I tend to agree with chopola.  You never know what someone else's situation is.  There are all kinds of people in life (or in the line-up) that we have to deal with.  Unless someone is bothering you, just be cool, have fun, try to be positive, and give off a good vibe.
