Ditto! Did that about 2007. No more land line or cable channel$$. Then tv signal went digital things got even better. Build yourself a
gray hoverman antenna and stash it in the attic. You can get about 15-20 viable local regional channels plus other extraneous ones. Multiple TVs may present and issue requiring splitters etc.
We watch our shows online now instead and flip on tv for local news.

If AT&T brings fiber to your area they'll give you up to a Gbps service. In the end you'll be going back to Spectrum like it or not. It sucks that they know that too.
Same experience I had a great 28$ plan I got from
Slickdeals (28 for 18mps)and kept it for a few years via speaking to retention dept. Then they hiked the rates to like $45 for the same speed and wouldn't budge. Brighthouse had 100mbps for $50deal and I reluctantly went to back to them. (I think it was to get customers on the books. Because it was just before the company switch) Then spectrum came hiked my rate and I did battle to get them to honor my rate. I think at this point I am at $60.
Speed test show I am not near that but I haven't had any issues to argue it with them.
Not sure if this might help
https://slickdeals.net/f/12532...ewal-30-month-100-mbps there are a few others on there but watch their data caps.
Lastly get your own router and modem
