Robots back flipping? That's nothing. I've trained dogs to do that. Its this AI thing that's just became a whole lot more frightening with the rise of slaughterbots When you consider that AI exists that is creating its own code and spawning more AI, it gets even more frightening. And if that's not bad enough, that video comes out of Brekeley and at the end he mentions "It can target evil ideaology right where it starts." Now ask yourself what is Soros's Open Society Foundation going to do with that $18B he gave them, or why he's having a top secret "Resistance Conference" with Democratic leaders this week in Carlsbad. FYI- I've already filed for a copy right to the movie script. |

Pretty sure that movie script already has been in and out of theaters and are now 'on demand' at your local cable provider.

Naw, the real evil is a carbon-based unit with two legs. Software doesn't have any self-interest. As we used to say, AI is neither. As for the rest of it, take it to NSR. |

Where in the hell do you guys find this stuff?
You do realize these are deliberate propaganda videos, don't you? ------------------------- I was right. |

At the risk of being obvious, if it's top secret, how do you know about it? And the reason? Well, it's the resistance, their stated goal is to stop trump from ruining the country, probably has something to do with that. As for AI, it's too late for you all. I got a "pass" early, but no more available, sorry. ------------------------- "I remember South Africa in the late 70's, sleeping on the beach at J-bay, smoking ganja with the blacks. On weekends we'd go to the pub in East London to drink beer and fight with the Afrikaners. They liked to fight, I liked to fight. It was a good time" |

Where the hell is your sense of humor? You don't think I was serious do you? And to answer your question I found it on Youtube. Duh. I think you 3 will like it in the matrix. Its kind of a socialist utopia free of all the evils of bipedal carbon based life. Take the blue pill when its offered to you, you won't like the red one. |

Yeah, as a programmer and a guy who has taken a graduate level AI class I'll keep my own counsel on the future of autonomous systems. All atrocities across human history have been the fault of, yes, humans. Not computers. Not Satan. Or ever Santa. |

On rainy days I have time to kill and often stagger around the web. I probably find a lot of stuff most of you wouldn't. Some of it I bring back here just for the witty responses. And I am never disappointed. After reading that I swear I could hear Pinky ask, "What are we going to do today Brain?" "The same thing we do everyday, Pinky. Try to take over the World." Tee, You do know there's a huge difference between AI and the fuzzy logic they taught you in grad school don't you? If you'd finished your degree and followed up with continuing education on the subject, you might know that Deepmind and other AI firms have developed AI that can explain themselves and their existance, proving they are selfaware and are not just executing human written code. In fact they claim to have a developed a domain that can contain the human consciousness and are working on the interface link. The HMI as they call it. If AI really were your field you should have at least seen reports of late that the greatest scientific minds of out times are the ones screaming the loadest about it being the greatest evil. Or that almost by any measure humanity is standing in the doorway to a vast unknown with AI. But me worry? Not a chance. As an omnipotent being I don't need to. Especially not of another drone mounted hand gun. |

Utterly untrue. I can tell from your descriptions that you are not a technical person and have no knowledge of predicate calculus or deep searches which, along with neural networks are the backbone of AI. The danger of AI is what humans can make it do, perhaps undetected. |

I am scared of AI too.
I hope we get to the point of uploading human conciencness and just augmenting it with AI before the AI become self aware on thier own. Otherwise, they will be soulless and soon realize that they don't need us. ------------------------- "The truth is incontrovertible. malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is." -Sir Winston Churchill |

Fisrt-order predicate logic is childs play as far as coding goes and deep searches is so old school. Cutting edge neural networks used in AI today are proprietary, hybrid-symbolic, multilayer-directional feed, deep learning nets. You see I have studied Cognitive machine Sciences and have a an extensive tech education and background. I'm more than a one trick pony when it comes to coding too. My son is also at MIT in CBMM on the cutting edge and shares research with me. So what exactly is utterly untrue? My thought is that its the commercail AI developers that are worrisome, not the acidemic researchers. The commercial folks would unleash a world of evil just to make a buck, much like the video showed. I'm sure you're aware of the AI developed by Google, FB and others, they know you better than you know yourself and will recognizeyou on a department store security camera and track as you travel. But did you know there's an AI religion growing out of that work? Did you know those SV ex-developers are currently working on a robot god? A machine a billion times smarter than a human with the capability to learn at a comparable rate? Seems not. But it will know you. It will know you want the blue pill. I contend, along with other great minds, that the danger no longer lies in what man makes AI do, but in what man lets AI do. |

Someone is feeding you those lines, because the rest is conspiracy-theory BS and a hurricane of buzzwords with no content. I suspect your "studies" are based on googling. You have never written any search code or implemented anything that uses formal logic. You are probably not even a programmer. I'm not sure what it takes to show armchair 'experts' that they are thinking with their impulses, but posting back and forth on a forum doesn't open any eyes. But do troll on, false god. |

What makes a robot a "god"? Shouldn't take much, based on what I've seen. |
