The dead period of the NFL calendar is officially over for the Miami Dolphins. Miami's slew of rookies are due in Davie today for their first day at the team facilities - signifying the start of Miami's 2019 training camp calendar.

The veterans are not due in house for another few days, the Dolphins' more experienced members are due to report on Wednesday, July 24th. The team will waste little time opening their doors to the public, as the Dolphins' first open practice takes place on Thursday, July 25th.

Sometimes I think I'm the only football fan on this webpage. That is ok, LOL.

Why UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton is trying to play college football again after his horrific leg injury
Milton has many reasons why he wants to return to the field even after his gruesome injury last season

She can't quite comprehend a comeback either. It would be glorious but it would also be dangerous. Mama T has compared her son son's desire to return to the surfers in their native Hawaii who ride until the last wave.

I find myself caring less and less about pro football and basketball. I have not watched an entire, non-playoff game of either of them in years and years.

Still a rabid college football and basketball fan. Hoping that Manny's game is as good as his talk in Coral Gables.

I'm usually burned out by Sunday on football due to college football. Usually just have red zone channel on and keep tabs on it that way. But, Yes, I like college football better.

Miami has a tough first game against the Gators at the Citrus Bowl. You going?

I'm hoping Canes beat them. Would be a great storyline. ....cause, Its Great to Be A Gator Hater, cause its great to be...a Gator Hater.

Packers/Bears to open the NFL season. First time since 2003 that the SB champs will not open. They went with the oldest rivalry, the Bears and NFL's 100th and Packers 101'st season. Bears could be SB contenders while the Pack tries to right the ship after dominating the division for years. Will find out real quick if the new-look Packers are worth a crap...

Thanks for the packers/bears report. I'll keep an eye on them.

Of course, I am now a Rams fan. I think they make it back to the superbowl with Bortles eventually taking over.
2019 Los Angeles Rams roster preview: Blake Bortles a welcomed addition at backup QB

$1M insurance policy? Not too shabby.

Blake Bortles provides much-needed backup plan

Backup quarterback has long been one of the most overlooked positions in the NFL. It's not a position teams enjoy investing money in, considering that if everything goes according to plan, the backup QB should rarely see the field. But when a quarterback goes down, a solid No. 2 can save a team's season.

That would be St Petersburg ... which has become the hippest & coolest town in Floriduh .... but the "surf" is an abysmal joke 99.675% of the time.

I have been a card carrying Gator Hater since before you were born.
