There might be some truth to what you say but without Linda Tripp taping Lewinsky and going to authorities with what she learned, I'm not sure that Clinton would have had any problems. Lewinsky was trying to get Tripp to perjur herself in the Jones v. Clinton suit to cover up Lewinsky's relationship with Clinton. This stuff just fell in the Republicans' laps and then Clinton stepped in it.

In Trump's case, no one has come forward with anything except the Stormy Daniels stuff, which Cohen pretty much took off the table in his hearing last week. Just lots of looking for it.
