Such total BS, Rusty. Forcing someone to inject something onto their body is an absolute attack on civil rights, but you know that already don't you. Unless you're going to equate taking the jab with wearing safety glasses and/steel toe shoes.....which would just make you a commie spinning the narrative in the name of control. Pay attention Obie, no one is "forcing" anyone to do anything. What they are saying is that if you voluntarily want to work somewhere and enter a workspace where people will be exposed to you, you must be vaccinated for their safety. Period. You no like? You take a hike. If you take a job in healthcare you have to show proof of a variety of vaccinations. Most are done in childhood, some like Hepatitis B and now COVID may need to be done before you can work. You have a responsibility to your fellow workers (and patients in this case). Your so called "rights" do not include the "right" to endanger others. But you can move to Mims and work the farm with Pabs, no one will bother you in least. Believe me, I am paying attention. You are being forced to into doing something to maintain employment that wasn't part of the initial contract/negotiations. Aren't you a pro-union guy? Tell me one place you're denied employment and/or are terminated if you're not vaccinated against any of the other things you mentioned. So again, more non-sequitur BS being employed to dance around what should be the obvious. And once again, you bring up "rights to endanger others".....which again I'll respond with....if you're vaccinated WHY DO YOU CARE!!!!! If you work in Florida the pugs have made it almost certain that you're an "employee at will" and have no contract. I am a union guy, and I think your union should require you to get vaccinated too as a condition of membership. Most major healthcare facilities require vaccination or presumptive evidence of immunity against hepatitis B, influenza, measles, mumps, rubella, pertussis, and varicella for healthcare workers except for legitimate medical exemptions. I care because I'm passionate about public health. The better question might be why do you NOT care? Being a libertarian does not allow you to violate the rights of others. Look, the commie, moral high-ground being employed to somehow justify forcing someone to take a foreign substance into their body against their will. Classic. "For the common good" Right, Rusty? I swear I've heard that tactic employed somewhere in history.....no? So you care so much about a person that you'd rather see them vaccinated, even though its not 100% effective instead of them having the ability to feed their family? I don't ever recalling to have to show vaccination status/cards for employment, you? Just asked my niece, who is an ER nurse, and she didn't either. Neither did my wife who works at a hospital for special needs. Any other BS you'd like to spew, to somehow justify the government mandating employers to jab a foreign substance in their body? Jesus dude, come on down from the cross already. I don't know where your family works, but I'm calling BS that an ER nurse hasn't been required to comply with mandatory immunization requirements.
