For normal people, there's a few goodies at their annual sale.

Just ordered my basic winter suit, longsleeve spring. Was going to give Feral a try but sold out. Tarrifs? Trade war? Just popular? Dunno. Going with RipCurl again, my usual. Only $100 more for the Matuse. Worth it, maybe. But not the way I treat them.

$900 for a 3/2 fullsuit? That one won't be left to dry on the porch swing!

I was right.

Ben Gravy fullsuit $129.00. That is crazy.

I rely on two Feral backzips, 2 and 3 mm. Also some bargain Volcoms from when the company leasing the brand name lost the franchise and went bankrupt. I started getting intersted in hooded suits as a way to keep the ears warm. I've developed a problem with cool water messing with the inner ear balance system. And I'd noted the popularity of hoods in southern California, typically 60 water, 60 air and marine layer. So Friday, an extravagance from Maturse showed up, a "vintage" Scipio 3 mm hooded. Feral and Colby + have alternatives. The Matuse was $295. First try was an hour swim at Ormond Beach yesterday morning, 50 air, 68 water. It was nudge-nudge to get on and off and a close fit, meaning no spaces for water to flow around inside. In terms of keeping warm, it was fine (I chill easily). I am thinking it's fantastic for being in the water for at least an hour, but the Feral is much quicker to get on and off.
