An audio forum friend of mine died recently. Reading his obit was a trip. His band opened for the Who in 1969, he was 16. Miss ya Kentley.
Here's the story about the concert: https://www.telegram.com/enter...oly-cross?rssfeed=true
"the percussion was actually making my trousers move. And I was way in the back. It was louder than loud. It was loud music. It was pure rock music." (curse the lack of line breaks)

Good read. I saw them during what I would have thought to be their first US tour way-back-when in Melbourne Florida at the auditorium on Hibiscus. Although I can't find it on the WEB. We had pretty much never heard of them. "Normal" shows were only $1.00 but the Who cost something like $2.50! Had to mow a few extra lawns. They rocked the house and at the end of the show they destroyed their instruments on the stage. The Melbourne PD who were there were just about ready to draw their guns!
