http://www.npr.org/2024/12/01/...en-pardons-son-hunter

>> President Biden announced late Sunday that he had signed a full and unconditional pardon for his son Hunter Biden.

The pardon comes in the last weeks of President Biden's time in office and despite his public assurances in the past that he would neither pardon nor commute his son's sentence.

"I signed a pardon for my son Hunter," Biden said in a White House statement. "It is clear that Hunter was treated differently."...<<

This surprises me.

Why the fuck not? Law and order seem to be out the window. When a 34-time convicted felon is going to be taking office and everyone he is giving positions to have suits against them or pending investigations for sexual assault or rape.

Might as well reap some kind of benefit from the Post-Truth and Post-Law & Order American Mess that Trump has created.

Fuck 'em. The Magadraggers should be happy he didn't drop a bomb on Mar-A-Lardo. Lord knows Donold would have now that the Supreme Court bent over and gave away the country.

it's total anarchy, everything is on the table and the dipshits voted for it. Set your dick on fire. Enjoy.

There's no reason to think for even a moment that trump wouldn't pardon all of his kids, cronies, and even himself if there was ever the chance of them being held accountable for anything.

The reality is that Trump is going to pardon 1400 J6 insurgents and he would have anyway but he will say it's because of this.

>>It is a rich gift to those who want to blow up the justice system as we know it, and who claim the government is a self-dealing club for hypocritical elites. It is a promise-breaking act that subjects Biden's allies to yet another humiliation in a year packed with Biden-inflicted injuries.
The decision comes at a moment when the capital is girding for an assault on federal law enforcement institutions led by President-elect Donald Trump and his appointees.<<

I wish he didn't say he wouldn't, or stick to what he said he would do which is not pardon him. He could have commuted his sentence or grant hi clemency, but a full pardon gets him out of the legal system.
It was entirely possible that Trump would have pardoned him anyway.
But yeah, I really don't care one way or the other about this.

However, the snowflakes on fox are melting over this.
Don't know why - they have no issues supporting a convicted felon, a sexual assaulter, a security threat, and a known liar to name but a few.

Kinda funny.

You mean Kushner's convicted felon father who Trump pardoned?

"he was convicted of illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion, and witness tampering after hiring a prostitute to seduce his brother-in-law, arranging to record a sexual encounter between the two, and sending the tape to his sister."

As a convicted felon, Charles Kushner was also disbarred and prohibited from practicing law in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Next thing you know he will tap the ex husband of Judge Janine for a post, he is also a convicted felon and was pardoned by Trump after the she had a "meeting' with Trump.

Kinda keeps that circle of trust tight, you know.

Maybe he figured that being convicted by a twelve-person jury doesn't hold water anymore.

Any notion of traditional liberal-democratic "law and order" is out the window already.

Might makes right. If you can get away with something, no matter how heinous, it's "legal".

Definitely disappointed that he took the low road, but that road is still on much higher ground than the former guy's. Dingus Con pardoned his own co-conspirators and is about to pardon his little army of dumb ass domestic terrorists. So yeah,...F it

Only idiots believed Biden, KJP, and all these other mouthpieces when they said that Biden wouldn't pardon Hunter. This was never about Hunter. The only reason Hunter was charged was so Biden's DOJ could go after Trump without appearing to be the gestapo that they were. This was always the plan and everyone knew it. The only question was when it would happen and that all depended on whether Biden won this time around.

Biden isn't just trying to pardon Hunter. Joe Biden is also trying to insulate himself. I'm interested in how many of his other relatives receive preemptive pardons. If he issues pardons for his brother and other members of the family, then it will be obvious that this is all about saving an ounce of dignity for his legacy by not allowing the extent of his corruption to be proven one way or the other. I don't think anyone really believes that putting Joe Biden behind bars is the goal. The goal would be to shine a spotlight on any and all corruption that the Bidens have been involved in and allow everyone to see what a POS the Biden family has been by selling the country out to the highest bidders for nearly half a century.

There is no coincidence that Joe pardons Hunter for anything he has ever done starting in January of 2014 when Hunter was given his cushy job on the board of Burisma, raking in over $88K a month for doing nothing but enriching the Biden family, in March of 2014.

These republicunts seem to forget all the pardons the Mango Mussolini gave out prior to his attempted coup.

As for Hunter's pardon? Die mad about it bitches

The complete list of DT's pardons and commutations

In the days just before Christmas, Trump issued 45 pardons, including one to Charles Kushner, the father of Trump's son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner, and to Trump's own close associates Paul Manafort and Roger Stone, who had been convicted of crimes related to the 2016 campaign, leading to speculation that the pardons were a reward for their refusing to give evidence to investigators that could have implicated Trump.

Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, and lots of other felons...

He should pardon himself and rob the house republicans of four years of fuckery, wasted hearings, soapbox soliloquies and no results.
