As noted by SunriseSurfer in another thread, Brevard County officials have decided to close all beach access parking in the county starting Thursday 3/19, including Patrick AFB beach access parking lots. The beach itself will remain open, but parking at all beachside parks and access points will be closed.

My question is, how does the county get the authority to close beach parking lots at PAFB? Isn't that federal military property? And if it actually is going to happen will BCSO have the authority to ticket and tow, or will it have to be at the behest of the MP's?
