Was the year the Democrats of South began seceding from the union and attempted to destroy the United States of America. It cost over a 1/2 million US lives and took Democratic states decades to recover, but the Democrats got their asses soundly kicked. In he end the Republicans abolished slavery and have been advancing civil rights ever since, much to the objection of Democrats. Now 160 years later and progressive Democrats want a rematch? I'm thinking they should learn their history before they hitch up that wagon again. After all, Socialist tyranny and slavery really aren't any different and the outcome won't be either. Be aware too, the home team still has a huge advantage and the US Constitution on their side.
