We had slaves.
We were horrible to the indigenous people.
We killed each other in massive numbers.
We fought needless wars.

These should never be swept under the rug and forgotten.

We have also helped the poorest of the poor.
Freed the oppressed.
Stopped fascism from ruling the world.

For these we should celebrate.
