Back in '88 when we built our "new" house, I planted a bed of liriope along the street. (Yeah, I know, liriope sucks, but it was free and...). Anyway, it has been looking somewhat ragged with a lot of dead in it for the past few years. Has anybody tried trimming it back to the ground like I do with my other grasses (eg, muhly, etc.)? If so, how did it turn out? Did it grow back with vigor or did it become a lost cause? How long to grow back? Thanks for the help!
