I was right.

Jimmy Slade for the win .Although it is obviously still very early on in the competition, Kelly has actually won this event and " Rang The Bell " No less then a staggering 4 Times previously , a 5th win is certainly not out of the question !

They say that "It's On" but, Heat 1 is yet to start. Swell and conditions look pretty good. Kelley is in Heat 13 so it may be past my bedtime. LOL

KS was under scored in his R16 heat and should have won. He got rooted IMO. JRobo who is my co favorite CT surfer (along with Ethan Ewing) seems to have gotten a very favorable score for his last wave in his quarter final heat and Italo wasn't happy. Italo stormed the judges tower after going into the portable toilet bare footed. There is a lot of talk about whether or not he pooped while he was in there or he just wanted to hide. A full suit around your ankles in a portable toilet can be dangerous, but given his go for broke style I guess it's not surprising. I think Ethan Ewing was the best "all around" surfer in the event. A couple of the top guys are a little more "radical"(JJF) and certainly some have a better "air game" , but on rail he is amazing and what I'd consider the style benchmark for the CT.

Yes slates ripped that heat, bs scores. JJ was on lock until Toledo took him down.
