The paths have been clear to allow sand trucks to enter beach and begin the dump. Not dredged sand this time. Trucked in from??? Head Honcho said it's pure white just like Hawaii and we will love it!!! I just turned and walked away. Damn we are stupid and prove it daily!!!

I was right.

I was having breakfast at the Beachside cafe last Tues, looked out the front window and saw an off-road dump truck on a low-boy, yikes here we go again. Today noticed the access points. I see in the linky that the dredge is out of commission which would partially explain trucking the sand in from ???, but wow, that's a lot of diesel and road wear! Anyways got to (sorta) surf a secret soon to be impacted sandbar this morn before it got too sideshore; bye bye sand bar, we hardly knew ye!

Just like Hawaii? I hope not. White sand there is carbonate from the reef. Here it's silica.

Wish we never built east of A1A, too late

During the early years of manned space flight, Cocoa Beach buildings tended to be on the inland side of A1A or at least well back from the beach. The one-time Apollo Building at the north side of downtown was an exception. The beach sites bought up by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the state, and quite a bit of Mellon foundation money were costly, but in hindsight, helpful. I remember being amazed at the cost of a beach park in northern Palm Beach County in the 1980s. It proved to be a great opportunity.

I have not seen any of the dredge nor truck fill spots. Did this week's swell wash most of it away?

yup. There was no dredge, all trucked from???? good 7' drop off behind the house where most of the dirt has already washed away. Damn I want to invest in this project !!!! Put it there, it washes away, and then I do it again and again !!! WOW. Tons of Jellies on the beach as well.

A couple weeks ago a saw a bunch of sand fleas in the surfline. First time I've seen sand fleas in a very long time. I guess they gonna be gone again next.

Been a while since I was across the street from Da Kine Diego's looking at the surf it was so close to the stairs yeah it was hightide not even a big swell but dam.

And the dirt won't help at all.
