Between the gentleman dying on the street from strangulation George Floyd death
and the reporting on the lady in central park pretending a black man was accosting her because he disturbed her Central Park Incident it show we have a ways to go. These are instances of what just one minority in the United States has to overcome. I had a discussion with a friend last week when he asserted racism in the US is over. Yes he's a MAGA. It's not. |

I have been reading a couple of editorials on these incidents. The city fired 4 cops. Colin Kaepernick excoriated when kneeling for this years ago.
The lady in central park could have gotten the guy watching birds killed for daring to ask her to put her dog on a leash. White lady walking through life knowing police will believe her over him. Black person walking through life knowing that invoking a threatening appearance which means just being in the wrong place or talking to the wrong someone puts them in danger of arrest or worse. Still working on change. |

What bothers me is that the aftermath seems so self defeating to the issue itself. Using this as an excuse to destroy businesses, loot, vandalize, and burn shit down is just so stupid on every level. We need a modern day MLK to step up and get shit done the right way.
