How long can a business, any business, stay viable if it has to close every couple of days because a worker has tested positive??

It is best if we "lock down now", again, and keep everything possible "under control". If not, things could get really bad to the point where no amount of "stimulus" will help much anywhere.

This virus does not impact everyone equally and you should seriously question the intentions of anyone who tries to tell you otherwise.

We know who is at risk.

Only 17% of the people hospitalized with COVID are under 65 years old.

89% of those hospitalized had preexisting conditions and we are well aware of what the preexisting conditions are.

I don't think it is reasonable to expect businesses to remain closed, restaurants to run at 25-50%, etc. when we know who it is targeting. If anything, restrictions should be put on the 10% at risk. As this drags out and 90% of the population has to run at 25-50% to accommodate the 10% who are at risk, more people are going to lose their jobs. Unfortunately, I think that is exactly what quite a few people are rooting for. Those people are pieces of shit. Don't be a piece of shit.

Sorry, but we need to restrict access to the people at risk. Period. This could go on for 2 years, 3 years, hell it could go on indefinitely. We can't kill hundreds of thousands of businesses that people saved their whole lives to create because grandma prefers to go to the grocery store in person instead of having someone help her.

The CDC should be able to tell us right this second whether you can get COVID twice or not. If we know that, then you have someone who has already had COVID and recovered deliver the groceries to grandma and sanitize them for her.

The reason why the problem is so bad is because of those 40% of people in the US that are fat asses. Most people that are fat asses absolutely can help it, but don't. Aside from the few people that cannot help it due to medical conditions or medicine they are on, they are just lazy, eat like shit, and refuse to take care of their body. If shaming them would actually help, I would be all for it for their own good. Reality though is that it is more likely to just make them get even fatter, heh.

Breathing and talking transmits it as well. A particle test in a study that was done showed that respiratory droplets can travel way over 6ft just by talking loudly. Guess what is in respiratory droplets if you are infected? Viral bodies.

So, you honestly believe that you would be talking and/or breathing around any one person in a Publix long enough to allow this disease to transmit to them or vice versa? Just know that if that same person is coughing into their shoulder then they are probably doing more to prevent the spread of the virus than ALL the people out there wear homemade masks that they haven't washed in two weeks.
