When it comes to teachers you get what you pay for.

The best teachers my kids had coming through the Satellite schools left. The ones that are left are often burned out, coasting toward retirement, OR super dedicated and in it for the love of education.
You see that in nursing sometimes, and other professions which are low paid relative to their educational requirements.

As far as trump, since he's illiterate I would go back and hold his teacher accountable.
