I find it ironic that the same people who are spewing vitriol and hatred toward "Big Tech" are the same ones who flocked to a site run by the same people who gave you Cambridge Analytica.

The same people who left Google as a search engine because it shares your data, migrated to a site where you are required a phone number and other verification as a term of use. Renaissance Technologies targets data points and the goal is to establish 5,000 data points per person. They use the information to see the present, predict the future and manipulate future decisions.

What isn't ironic, is the philosophical connection between the members of the Alt-Right and the Trump Cult with the force behind Parler.

The Mercers had deep ties with Andrew Breitbard and largely financed his media group. After his death, they supported Steve Bannon. The Mercers believe the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was a mistake and believes that there are no white racists in America, only black racists. Climate change is another tie that binds and they have financed the "science" to deny. They support Private Prisons and are against Public Education.

This is the family behind last technological bastion for Conservitards today, the Mercers, Robert and Rebekah.

Ironic? If these other places will not allow us to express ourselves freely, it is ironic that we would go elsewhere? I'll tell you what is ironic - progs think they are smart.

Conservitards were all upset at Google for analyzing search results and using data, so they made a big deal and tried to make Duck Duck Go a new thing. It is deliberately contrary to move to a platform that is taking the Google algorithm and weaponizing as Cambridge Analytica does and has done.

The reason Conservitards were locked out of Twitter wasn't a free expression of ideas. Please don't delude yourself to think that Trump and others were censored by Twitter for their ideas any political views; no, they were censored to blatant falsehoods (lies) and misinformation.

The worst 'censors' on any platforms are the disinformation channels. Go ahead and see if they will allow debunking comments on their videos or posts. They will also go out of their way to get debunking profiles/channels banned for "harrassment". The platforms almost always side with the disinfo channels because they like the clicks. Platforms only intervene when they think there could be legal peril. What the conservatives want is an echo chamber free of dissent. Most of my conservative friends disappeared from facebook in November. I thought it was radio silence in disgust. Then Parler shut down and poof, the spamming started back up. Many of their posts even start with "I'm not here to debate so I am not doing to respond negative comments. If you don't like this post then you are free to ignore it". It is a shame that it is real life friends acting like that because it changes the way you view them. Disagreeing on a policy position is one thing. Having them spew invective if you dare disagree with some Bongino video they share changes things.

Socialists are certainly in favor of anti-trust laws, but rather than break the monopolies up into little capitalist enterprises we'd prefer they were turned over to the public trust and run by the workers for the benefit of all.

Then there would be a credible claim of censorship, and shadow bans and any other nonsense would be verboten. However hate speech could still be legitimately regulated, or at the least those who engage in it could be held responsible.

The the internet (broadband) should be a public utility, and social media platforms should be public domain.
