I had three tests done and two barely poked me in the nose, the third went for the brain. All came back negative.

Not that any of it really matters since we didn't bother with contact tracing or isolation in this country.

Everyone should have known something was up when PCR tests started testing vaccinated people at 25 cycles and increased the number of cycles for unvaccinated people to around 45. Between that and when they stopped tracking breakthrough cases where the vaccinated test positive, it definitely looks like data manipulation. Also, it makes no sense that we would only be interested in the number of vaccinated who go to the hospital or die of Covid. We are sure tracking the shit out of the number of cases of people who get Covid among the unvaccinated. Thats not what it says. Basically instead of having to take separate PCR tests: Test 1: do I have COVID yes/no? Test 2: DO I have Flu yes/no. Moving forward due to advancements in the assay technology etc We now have Test 3: one swab and assay will be able to do COVID yes/no and flu yes/no. I think some can even go more specific in terms of COVID vs Strain A of Flu, Strain B of Flu etc

I posted the quote from the CDC. They don't say that they suggest labs moving to one test for both. They clearly say that they suggest labs moving to an FDA approved test that can tell the difference between CoV-2 and flu. If you have a quote that shows them elaborating on this further then by all means post it.



The CDC's announcement explains this as well. They said that they wanted to give labs time to explore alternatives, negotiate their terms, and implement an alternative as opposed to revoking emergency authorization for this one immediately, leaving them with nothing. Make sense?

Here is the test that is replacing the test that will be phased out. The old test only looked for Covid. It did not mis diagnosed flu as being Covid as sniper asserts. This knew test is meant to increase testing efficiency.

Just for the record. I got J&J vaccine in early April. A week ago I started feeling not great with chills and then a mild fever. I waited 4 days and then decided to go to the doctor. I tested positive for both COVID and Influenza Type B this past weekend. I've had mild symptoms for about a week. The doctor prescribed Tamiflu and in addition to that they recommeded:
Pepcid 20 mg per day for 5 days, Vitamin D 10,000 units daily for 5 days, Zinc 25 mg daily for 5 days, Vitamin C 1000mg twice daily for 5 days. Also drink plenty of fluids and take Tylenol for fever.

I know a handful of people that have had Covid. The majority didn't know they had it or thought they had a cold. I know of two people that have died from 'it'; one guy was 78, smoked cigs and worked with fiberglass his entire life (and didn't need no stupid respirator), he was already suffering from COPD and probably a plethora of other undiagnosed modalities. The second was a 300+lbs female that was a life long fan of the meth pipe. Yes, apparently some people can smoke meth and still be fat... but not exactly specimens of a healthy lifestyle.

I'm not claiming that it hasn't effected young and healthier people, but I do feel it's being over played.

I should add that six weeks ago I felt similar to this past week (see prior post) but it only lasted 3 days an I didn't get tested. Prior to that I hadn't had any flu like illness for decades. So for me at least this has been a definite outlier event. One difference is though that I didn't get the annual flu shot last fall like I had for as long as I can remember...again decades, can't know whether or not the lack of a regular flu shot contributed to my current Influenza Type B positive. I do appear to be on the upswing though and hope I'm back 100% in a few days as I have plenty of physical stuff I need to do.

I wish the scientists would be open and honest, share the data with the entire scientific community and let the world in on it. "Let the adults handle it"....... I get the fear of panic buying or anarchy but we deserve to know, and it would help the thinking public gain back some lost trust that otherwise may never be earned again. And when the real pandemic hits like an Ebola virus people will take it serious if they set the record straight and work together as a species.

My brother's in-laws got the J&J jab. They are old and in poor health. They went to a super-spreader Army Ranger reunion. They got infected and is is putting a hurting on them. Sucks. I think out of the gate pre-Delta that J&J was only 70% effective at preventing infection in the initial trials. The recommendation was that you should only mingle unprotected with other vaccinated people because if you mingled with unvaccinated folks your risk of exposure goes way up (true for any vaccine, not just J&J). Of course at the Ranger reunion there is lots of hand shaking, drinking, yelling, close talking, sharing of food and all without masks.

However, the PCR test is the one that was used for the majority of last year and the one that was used to justify the lockdowns, masking, etc. Many people have been saying all along that it was extremely flawed but it kept getting pushed out there anyway, inflating the numbers. Since Li and his colleagues published their findings, several other teams have reported similar cases in which the virus evolved rapidly inside an immunocompromised person with a chronic coronavirus infection.
"So we have a number of examples, around the planet, in which patients' viruses suddenly have a whole mess of new mutations all at once," says virologist Jeremy Luban at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. And other cases have likely gone undetected, he says.
So scientists are starting to think the two phenomena could be related. That perhaps the new variants arose inside people similar to the man in Boston - that is, people who are immunocompromised and have long-term coronavirus infections.

"I think that's the leading theory," Luban says.

This GUIDEANCE WILL SUBSTANTIALLY ALTER the CDC's May 13 guidance that largely exempted fully vaccinated individuals from the indoor mask requirement. There has been no change in the outdoor masking recommendations at this time. In changing its masking recommendations, the CDC asserts that current scientific information indicates that the DELTA VARIANT CAN SPREAD DESPITE VACCINE STATUS, warranting an adjustment to its prior guidance.

In public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission, all are to wear masks - INCLUDING FULLY VACCINATED INDIVIDUALS like Cole.

There should be a continuing effort to strongly encourage vaccination to reduce the spread of COVID-19, including the delta variant.
