Compare to the Flu vax, normally administered at the beginning of the season and based on scientific estimations of the most appropriate pathogen for that year. Some people may have reactions to it, but it's pretty commonly required for health care workers and generally well tolerated.

Case fatality rate >1% versus %0.00001 for the vaccine? Come on. Hell even in the demographics where the cases fatality rate is 0.1% to 0.01% the vaccine is still better and the vaccine success improves as spread is reduces. The more unvaccinated people there are the more breakthrough cases there will be. Guess what, if 35% or more of the population wasn't vaccinated against measles there'd be a shit load of measles and there would remain risk to some vaccinated people that they would catch measles because the vaccine isn't 100%. And the case fatality rate for measles is well below that for Covid but we still vaccinate for that, or we used to anyway but that is probably going to come to an end at this rate. "Natural" immunity for all. Need more pure bloods.
