Imagine how expensive and how long it would take to actually build a border wall spanning the entire border with Mexico. Then imagine how ineffective it would be, as everyone just shifts to going over, under, or around by boat. Kamala was not put in charge of the border or immigration. Biden tasked her with implementing a diplomatic strategy in Central America that addresses the causes of immigration at the root, the lack of economic opportunities for impoverished people there. It's something that will take a generation of work to be completely successful, but there have already been some. This is the right approach, and we're just getting started. I know all you xenophobic white nationalist fascists get hard for policies of intentional cruelty directed at impoverished women and children, and can't even imagine any other approach.
