In an effort to centralize Executive power, Trump is pushing the Republican led Senate to change the rules so he can skip congressional conformation for his cabinet picks.

You lying blockhead. They aren't changing the rules. Recess appointments have been around forever. There is a reason everyone refers to you as Hoaxmeister.

Trump is demanding an important change to the Senate confirmation process

"Using such recess appointments, Trump would be able to appoint whoever he'd like without giving the Senate the opportunity to question or object to the pick. Critics of the practice note that it increases the risk of unqualified, corrupt, or ideological appointees filling government posts. It also significantly expands presidential power."

Reinstating recess appointments "would essentially negate one of the Senate's main roles in governance, which is to vet presidential nominations for high-level positions," Peverill Squire, a political science professor at the University of Missouri, told Vox. "It would, if the Republicans in the Senate were willing to go along with it, represent sort of an abdication; they would be simply giving up the power that's afforded them."

So much for that pesky Constitution. This is TRUMPISTAN baby!

Did Trump instruct them to alter the rules? It's a simple question.

But, is it illegal?

The Biden/Harris administration broke with tradition regularly. They raided the home of an ex-President. They appointed a partisan, government affiliated, special counsel to Hunter, which was supposed to be outside of the rules and tradition. They orchestrated 51 intelligence officials claiming that Hunter's laptop was Russian disinformation, when they knew it was real for a year or more. They changed the statute of limitations and failed to link what they were accusing Trump of, so they could somehow try to turn a misdemeanor into a felony.

If you are expecting Trump to fight fair when you guys have been throwing sand in his face for years, then you can save your breath.

Sure tpap, this isn't a change at all, getting all these judges in without the approval of Congress? Recess appointments were a limited tool for the appointments of judges during recesses to prevent backlogs during their breaks. This expansion is using the exception as the rule and getting everyone through with no vote. Please, don't use your ignorance to prove you don't understand basic concepts.

Look at Tpap with his hands over eyes yelling he can't see any thing Trump is doing that's wrong. And then Snippy, wondering if it's illegal the same way as joint would be so you sold a metric ton of weed. You two cannot trump whisper or somehow interpret meaning from trumps own stated simple goal: more power. This latest move removes Congress from the advice and consent requirement. This trump putting the top in. Once they give him recess appointments, they will all be recess appointments.
