After today's trump tantrum I don't think the orange jesus was ever very serious about keeping the promises he made about ending the war.

Trump and Vance got their feelings hurt when Zelensky said Putin was not reliable.
It is obvious that Trump and Vance are Putin's lap dogs now.

Lindsay Graham, or as she's known on the red light circuit, Lady G, has said he doesn't know if we can ever do any business with Ukraine again. Business? Using this war to extract a lopsided negotiation for Ukraine's minerals without even guaranteeing to protect them from the Russians? This was never supposed to be a business, it was supposed to be protecting our democratic peers in the face of illegal aggression. Russia bombed schools. They bombed hospitals. They destroyed infrastructure that led to the freezing deaths of the young, elderly and infirm. They have cost the lives of tens of thousands who were living normal modern lives just days before the invasion.

What Trump is doing is disgusting and un-American. Countless numbers of Americans died to protect our freedom and now it is being wiped away by a demented old man.

Steve Witkoff didn't stay long in the Russian capital.

According to footage posted of his motorcade leaving and returning to Moscow's Vnukovo airport, he was here for little more than 12 hours.

And for most of that, it seems, he was left waiting.

Mr Putin was apparently too busy meeting someone else - Belarusian leader Aleksander Lukashenko - for a hastily arranged state visit that had been announced the day before.

We don't know for sure if the timing of Mr Lukashenko's visit was deliberate, but it certainly didn't feel like a coincidence.

They asked for a 30-day, frontline-wide ceasefire, without conditions. On Tuesday, they got - after a theatrical week-long wait and hundreds more lives lost - a relatively small prisoner swap, hockey matches, more talks, and - per the Kremlin readout - a month-long mutual pause on attacks against "energy infrastructure."

This last phrase is where an easily avoidable technical minefield begins. Per US President Donald Trump's post and that of his press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, the agreement concerned "energy and infrastructure." These are two entirely different sets of ideas.
