To prevent a loose log from damaging the sensitive bottom of the pool, which apparently is very expensive to fix (needs to sell a lot of Outerknown boardshorts to cover the cost). This is just something I read and can't confirm if true, just made sense

stokedpanda Posts: 4226 Joined Forum: 09/04/2015	I heard there were far more wipeouts than completed rides, which is why there was not much footage. sounds like a challenging wave for a big long flat board. super tight steep pocket so not much wiggle room, wish we could have seen some of them wipeouts LOL ------------------------- I troll 2L.com to be a better person in real life
