Thanks Chuck, I would love to sometime. I definitely would get the Tesla racks anyway; I looked into those and they looked like really the only thing that would be safe. I have looked at a couple of Tesla-specific forums in the meantime and talked to a couple of people who have successfully carried longboards, so it looks like it's a viable option.
