Def a loss of major musical talent; singer, songwriter and activist.. Lived on the edge - made it pretty far all things considered.. Openly voiced his opinions regardless..
IMO 'If I can only remember my name' was his personal best album - a lot of other serious 'talent' also played on there with him - some not even listed on the credits. Glad I got to see him in CSN at King Center & also solo in relatively small venue in MI..

He lived longer than many expected, running borrowed livers.

Sad Day indeed. David Crosby always seemed to be a complex man. Smooth voice, rough personality. 81 years old and I'd say he got his money's worth!
He was involved in some of the most groundbreaking music of the 60's and 70's and we loved him for it. He came of age when rock stars were ROCK STARS, so I understand his ego. His music was the type of thing which made you stop what you were doing so as not to miss the subtleties and deeper meanings embedded within. ------------------------- Slide On |

Saw him again a couple years ago here after the Lighthouse album. He seemed happy, strong. A good way to remember him. Damn. This one hurts.

So, went to see Jason Isbell sing at Clearwater last Friday. A good show, Amanda with him. I didn't know they were friends with David but apparently so and Jason had a few good words for him. David's last live performance was with them, sort of by accident, so it kinda seemed appropriate and a nice goodbye. "What got him out of the house and to the show was that he wanted to come see his buddies. And it would have been silly for him to come and not sing." Respect. https://www.rollingstone.com/m...ll-tribute-1234664393/
