The coronavirus death rate is uncertain. China reports two very different rates for the main infection center and for the rest of the country (much lower). Older people are much more vulnerable, so Japan has a terrible risk.

One of the problems is the most cases are mild. Some infected people don't get symptoms. Flu is more definite about showing itself.

Trump hasn't done himself or the country any good. He's still trying to minimize a serious situation.

BTW, it looks like a great time to find a cheap air fare and visit Italy.

it is widespread across the country. way more than the confirmed cases. many places aren't even allowing people in from the outside. schools and attractions shutting down. sure, take the risk though not being able to go places once there, maybe getting sick and then stuck there while sick seems like a win
