The Big Beautiful European deal is still a framework with details to be worked out. 15 percent is the working number, which is incredibly high by all standards. If fact, it's the highest tariff since the 1930s. We all know how that ended.

And here is the rub: American companies are paying this new 15 percent tax to the US government.
