And a few others I've had for a while. I love them all and recently gave the blue one to a friend of mine to display in his restaurant. The board belonged to a friend who was killed in a traffic accident back in the 80's. It is now proudly displayed with photos of Skipper surfing on this board on the gulf coast.

I thought you'd like to know that in the following interview, posted on surfermag's website from 4/21/2020, Kelly Slater said the following:


What did you do with your first-ever surfboard? (From @kruysmanscott)

Answer: My dad sold it. I would literally pay anything to have that board back. The bottom had an airbrush of Jaws. It was a 5'2" thruster (three Star Fin boxes) in 1980 made by the Salick brothers in Cocoa Beach.
