I am trying to get a nice companion dog. Maybe someone here needs to rehouse theirs rather than taking it a shelter. If I don't find a nice match for me and and a dog, Then, I'll go to a shelter. Btw, over many years I have adopted 3 times from local shelters as well as from a Basset rescue.

Hard to find. I have a friend that fosters small dogs, I'll check with her.

OMG take her FireSurf!

This post reminded me I rescued a Golden Retriever off here many years ago. He was two and I had him until he passed away at around 14yrs old. RIP Kale . But this is good mojo to rescue this poor girl.

She's already got over 50 responses, so Dixie might have found a home.
