There should be Muttons on the near shore reefs too.

For the first time since I can't remember, we didn't have the cold water inversion this year. That usually drives a bunch of stuff inshore, but it might not have happened this summer. I usually hear tell of some nice Muttons being caught off the jetties, but none this year.

Yeah the up welling helps with the big muttons. I have been lucky with them when the water gets cold on the south side of the jetty in June/July. I know where to put the bait to get them.

dove friday offshore, water was clean and cool on bottom (70 degrees). Dove Sunday and water was 68 and very dirty (4 ft viz). I thought this might be the first year we didnt get one too, but alas a thermocline in almost September. It is, afterall, 2020.....

a fried of mine got a keeper recently off sat beach on a cut croaker, also they have been getting shorts inside port Canaveral just under sized. I bet the reefs off wabasso could be good

I never ever caught a snapper of any kind off the beach here in Satellite Beach. Ever...

We got seven Muttons in 100 feet out of inlet yesterday, but only one keeper. We were using squid for grunts and the Mutton wouldn't leave us alone. Our bait stop netted a Mutton, two nice Lanes, a keeper trigger and a few fat sea bass.
