So, my lower back is absolutely screaming after yesterday. I went out for three different sessions, the first about two hours, the others were an hour each. My lower back feels like someone hit me with a baseball bat.
So of course I start googling shit for possible stretches to help, and this pops up in a redditt thread:

Absolutely terrifying. Granted, I haven't been the most active surfer lately as I burst an eardrum in Costa a year and a half ago, and I'm 5-10lbs overweight, but I didn't know this existed.
Please take care of yourselves if you have lower back pain! Don't keep surfing, go get a beer, or better yet a water and do some yoga.

Do yourself a favor and get this Yoga exercise book , most pain is caused by spinal stenosis and disk degeneration , this will help. like already mentioned - just say yes to: yoga, tai chi, and stretching. losing that extra 5-10 lbs will make a big difference, too.
to help with that: you may wanna look into cutting down on meat, and check out some new vegetarian options (they've come a long way in the last 5-10 years!)
I went thru major lower back pain for a coupla years, and its gone now, thanks to the above ^. |
