Me too. The poor and middle class did not. They are doing much better now, however. But keep telling people that their lying eyes deceive them. It is good for us that they understand that progs are liars.
No, the poor and middle class are not better off, they are just as fucked as they were under Obama. Wait until they start doing their taxes, at least those who made enough to file.
Neither party is offering anything substantive for them. Only genuine progressive plans like the Green New Deal, fair share taxation, and making sure working people don't live in fear of getting sick or losing coverage could offer them some relief.
But of course that will be fought by both parties because they both represent the elite.

None of us have filed our taxes under the new tax plan, so it seems like this article should have been written in April or May.
If you are in a state with high property taxes and high state taxes, then you may have some issues but the rest of the country has been subsidizing them for quite a while. Also, the standard deduction doubled under this plan.

Doesn't he only pay the higher 25% tax rate on just that one dollar over $37,500?
Every dollar you make from $0 to $9,275 is still taxed at the 10% rate (now 12%), then every dollar from $9,275 up to $37,500 is taxed at the 15% rate (now 12%). That's how it works for everyone.

My mistake, same mistake everyone at Faux made when AOC suggested 70% top bracket.
But the fact remains, this was a massive give away to the richest people in the country, and an increase on the poor and many middle class taxpayers due to the limits on deductions.
I haven't done mine yet so we'll see, I imagine I'll save some but I don't really need it.
