Returned last Wednesday from SLO area north of Ventura. Waves were good. Pumping surf there. It was too big for some of the best spots at least for me. But other spots were working. First time I wore gloves and a hood (with boots and a 4/3). Really helped, no worries about the cold.
Just south of Cayucos beachbreak. Water about 57 and air about same. Really pretty warm for there in winter.
