Yep today, things opened up a bit more. Had to be nimble and quick. The right board helps. Look around secret sand bars abound.....

Ah cool, that 1st pic from Cole looks like me. I surfed for 7 hours between 2nd street S and 2nd street N so I'm guessing that was near Minuteman Causeway. I was going to complain about how the waves seemed smaller than yesterday but that wave looks like decent size to me. It felt smaller, usually it's the opposite.

LaJune, you guys were riding the mid break, which was a smart move. The outside sets were still running off too fast.

A bit smaller today in Cocoa Beach. If you want the goods, a travel to Satty might be in order.

My small in Cocoa Beach was slightly off. I took a beating on the paddle out. The tide is getting to it and it's running off pretty fast. Yes there are waves, but it's typical hurricane stuff.

I hated to get out of the water. Lower tide at daybreak was doing something fun outside. Then it got shitty for a spell when the outside refused to break and everything inside wanted to close out. Then high tide wasn't all that big but the form was really fun. I kept finding inside bowly peaks that would last for a couple of sets and then move up or down the beach a notch. There were a few long lulls and a few multi multi wave sets. Most of my paddle outs were dry hair. One was caught inside on a 10 wave set that was dumping in waist deep water. Kind of had to wait that one out. Lots of open faces and a few that looked open that then decided to steal my lunch money. It was really good when I left to come get in front of this fing computer. Now on to the spread sheets.

Was fun until I got clamped on a closeout. I thought I was faster than I was but I was proven wrong. Had a couple good ones but as Cole said typical hurricane stuff but I would ride again with that being said. Natures Neti pot did it's thing so let the nasal drain begin!

Hah, yeah. Can't bend over the keyboard too far. At some point on the right unplanned inversion the sinuses will evacuate.

Satbe from 8:30 to 11:30 was as good as it gets here. Daybreak it was closing out a bit, but then it just turned on. Myself, my buddy, and his youngest son were just trading waves on our peak all morning and stepping off on the beach on the better waves. Nice cover ups, numerous turn waves, and punchy. Just really really fun.

However, the afternoon sucked. We got some pub subs and by the time we were done carbing back up and paddled back out, the wind went onshore. We kept at it longer than we should of hoping the rain would push it back offshore. Nope. The wind did just go offshore a bit ago though, hah.
