I was reading up on it at the health dept's website. Lots of past violations, most related to outdated food and improper temperature & storage. Current violation included roaches.
They've been getting hit with enough basic/intermediate violations over the last few years that owners/managers either don't know what they're doing or don't give a shit. Their license was up for renewal on 4/1. Not sure if they were planning on renewing, or just letting it all go to hell and make all the $ they can before closing it up. I had a decent brunch there about a month ago. Sad to see such a longtime institution go down like that. 30 years in Satty? I don't think I'll eat there again unless it's under new ownership as well as management. |
