What?

Does the water in Central Florida in the months of December, January, February and March ever dip below 68 degrees?

The temps listed are for South Florida.

Last I checked...South Florida is still Florida,

IDIOT!

Also...'dipping below' 68 degrees at night isn't the same as an average of 68 degrees...BUT...you know that...right? Just because a tilapia might have a night temp dip below 68 degrees does not mean that it wont spawn the next day when it's 75 degrees.

MORON!

He seriously posted air temps and told us those are water temps. Yes folks he says the average water temp has an average daily variation from 59 to 75 in January. And he is trying to claim south Florida weather for Brevard.

Those aren't air temps at the Melbourne airport. Melbourne is an average low of 53 and a high of 72. The average water temp is around 62 in January, especially with the short days and low sun angle. Water temp above 70 is 90 percent exceedance. We have spent a lot of time with the water temp above 70 in January these last few years. Saw water temps above 80F in February 2018 when ever day had a high air temp >80F and lows above 65F every day of the month for the first time in over 100 years of records.

A night where it dips below? Average low at MLB and TIX going back 100 years 12-13 C in January. It should "dip below" 68 degrees > 90 percent of nights in an average January. The average high is about 23 degrees C. The water temp in January should vary between about 12 and 20 degrees C. It spent most of January and February above 20 this year and last.

You are on the wrong planet if you think day time air temps can raise water temps by seven degrees. Either that of you raise your fish in a puddle on black concrete.
