O'Neill xxls are Heat. Mine is probably pretty current, though their website claims a new zipper and upgraded neoprene.
The Hyperflex Greenprene (I think I stumbled over the name) is a non-rubber alternative to neoprene, helpful to those who have neoprene allergies. It's worth considering by those who don't have allergies.
That older Quiksilver probably just needs for the bad rubbery stuff to be picked off the seams and replaced with new seam goo. But it would be good material for repairs, and I have a couple of disliked short sleeve/sleeveless shorties (one a Matuse Hoplite of all things) that would be good material. Someone would likely fit that Matuse, maybe a L type person?
