I purchased a small specimen over the weekend and planted it in a pot using Cactus potting soil with rocks at the bottom for drainage. I noticed that the cactus potting soil contained very little to no perlite. Will it still drain well, or should I have added Perlite to it? This will be sitting in full sun relying on rain water.

I have another question. I've read numerous web pages on which grows better, seeds or cuttings, but they all say one thing or the other. Some people are adamant that cuttings will not get the bulbous base, while others say seeds won't get the bulbous base. Does anyone have a difinitive answer for this?
